How To Install & Root XXLPH Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich Firmware On Samsung Galaxy S2 [How To + SG2]

Samsung-Galaxy-S2-custom-romHere you go another ICS android 4.0 custom ROM for Samsung Galaxy S2. The latest XXLPH firmware is the most stable among all the leaked custom ROM, XXKP8, XXKPA and XXLP2. XXLPH obviously come with improvements in the UI and a few more bug fixes. Please take note this firmware ONLY applicable for Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100. According to the user experience, the batter life has improved better than all the previous firmware version. It is also recommended as daily use ROM. Steps to Install Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 on Samsung Galaxy S2 [XXLPH]

  1. Download XXLPH Firmware
  2. Extract the files to a separate folder in your PC.
  3. Download Odin if you don’t have it.
  4. Turn off your phone.
  5. Boot your phone into Download Mode. To do this, press the Volume Down button and Center button. While you press both, simultaneously pres the power button and your phone will enter into download mode.
  6. Open Odin.
  7. Connect your phone to the PC via USB. When you do this the ID:Com section on Odin must turn yellow. If it doesn’t don’t proceed to the next step.
  8. In Odin, click on the buttons given below and the files written adjacent to them:
    PDA: I9100_CODE_I9100XXLPH_CL118559_REV02_user_low_ship.tar PHONE: MODEM_I9100XXLPH_REV_02_CL1104396.tar CSC: GT-I9100-MULTI-CSC-OXALPH.tar Bootloader: I9100_APBOOT_I9100XXLPH_CL118559_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5
  1. Also make sure you have checked Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time in Odin.
  2. Finally, click on Start. Your phone will reboot on success. If it doesn’t, re-insert the battery and boot your phone into download mode. You need to repeat the procedure again if you fail to do it in the first try.Install-Ice-Cream-Sandwich-4.0.3-on-Samsung-Galaxy-S2

Steps to Root Samsung Galaxy S2 on ICS 4.0.3 XXLPH Firmware

  1. Download XXLPH Rootiung Package
  2. After this open Odin.
  3. Boot your phone into Download Mode. To do this, press the Volume Down button and Center button. While you press both, simultaneously pres the power button and your phone will enter into download mode.
  4. Connect your phone to the PC via USB. When you do this the ID:Com section on Odin must turn yellow. If it doesn’t don’t proceed to the next step.
  5. Click PDA and select CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXX_LPH-v5.2-CWM5.tar from the downloaded contents of the zip file.
  6. Click on Start. Wait for a few moments and the device will reboot on success.
