Where To Find & How To Check Windows 7 Blue Screen Error & Fix It?

Oh my god, I experienced several Windows reboot today and i think the reason is I have installed the wireless adaptor driver on my Windows 7 & 8 with the wireless adaptor hardware. Well, it could be one of the reason. Anyhow, I’m still doing some verification steps on my Windows PC. Program crashing is common in Windows but blue screen is kind of serious hardware error which Windows cannot recover in short time and cause the CRITICAL SYSTEM FAILURE. Let’s see what we can check and fix the problem ^^

Where To Find & How To Check Windows 7 Blue Screen Error Information??

As i mentioned earlier, most of the time, Windows is smart enough to fix and recover your problem unless it is too serious problem.

 

I experienced blue screen and it restart immediately and i can’t see what is wrong and what is the blue screen error code. With the blue screen error code, you can understand more on your blue screen error. Besides that, you can search online of the error as well as can send the code to Microsoft team to let the experts understand your problem.

 

OK, to stop Windows to restart immediately and to have time for you to check the error code, you need to do below steps.

1. Goto Windows 7 Control Panel

2. Goto System and Security

3. Goto System

4. At the left hand menu, select Advanced system settings. You should see windows below.

5. Select Advanced tab, Goto Startup and Recovery and click settings.

6. Uncheck automatically restart.

7. With this setting, your blue screen is always on till you restart it manually.

To find the error log in your Windows System

Proceed to steps below to get your event error log info, you may get the error code form there too.

1. Goto Windows 7 Control Panel

2. Goto Systems and Security

3. Select Administrative tools

4. Select Event Viewer

5. You should get Windows below.

6. At the left sidebar, select system and at the right sidebar, filter your current log to only Critical.

7. Click on the event log just happened lately. Find the code and search online if you wish.

How To Fix Blue Screen Errors??

Below suggestions MAY NOT fix your Blue screen problem, it is generic solutions to your WIndows Blue Screen.

1. Restore your Windows to previous safe and problem free Windows version. Goto Control Panel –> All Control Panel Items –> Recovery to recover your Windows.

2. Scan your PC with Anit virus and anti spyware software. Blue screen could caused by unknown virus and worms.

3. Uninstall lately installed programs which the incompatible driver could cause your pc hang and crash,

4. Update all your hardware drivers with control panel hardware manager panel.

5. Defragment your hard drive and free up hard disk space. Normally you need 10% of free space at your system partition drive.

6. Try Windows 7 Troubleshooting Tool. Goto Control Panel->All Control Panel Items->Troubleshooting to scan your Windows Error and perform auto fix.
