iOS 6 VS Android Jelly Bean VS Windows Phone 8

In the world of smartphone operating systems, there are really only three names to discuss: Apple’s iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. All three are releasing the latest update for their mobile OSs, and each are offering their own sets of pros and cons. Although we are seeing significant improvement in important features, some are still failing to deliver in certain aspects. Here is a quick recap of what the consumer can expect from the latest mobile operating system contenders.Ios61
iOS6: While taking a huge leap forward in their user interface by (finally) integrating Facebook features throughout, they have also taken a few steps back with the launch of their new Maps service. With Android setting the bar for both social networking features, and Map services (thanks to the ever powerful Google Maps), Apple tried to contend, but failed miserably in the Maps department. Thankfully, users can now enjoy integrated contact information and calendar events such as birthdays from their facebook friends, and a notifications menu for updates. iPhone 5 become one of the best selling point to have iOS6 platform.

With Google Chrome Beta onboard (reportedly now the most used browser), users can now sync their tabs, bookmarks, and search history with their desktop PCs. The latest in Google Maps will also be available, which allows users to use Street View, Compass Mode and even get directions when offline. Voice command technology is also seeing a big improvement with Jelly Bean, offering voice recognition even offline.
Windows Phone 8Windows Phone 8: Taking charge with their new flagship phones: the HTC Windows Phone 8X and the Nokia Lumia 920, the latest update for the underdog OS might surprise even the toughest of critics. The Windows “Live Tile” interface is by far the most intuitive and organized of all the mobile operating systems. Highly customizable and informative, the user can break up tiles and choose what information is displayed at a glance. Users can also enjoy the best of navigational services thanks to NAVTEQ maps. At the same time, Windows Phone is severely behind the times when it comes to available apps for users, having a library only a 1/6th the size of it’s rivals.
