Today, I would like to share a bad news. Google is going to discontinue Google Reader which I found it was perfectly useful and I nearly use it almost everyday. Google Reader is certified to be discontinued, will not available after July 1, 2013. To summarize, Google Reader is Google’s product since 2005, it is a RSS reader where you can add any blog’s or websites’ RSS into the reader for viewing instead of going towards the websites.
Google glass is one of the most anticipated product from Google in 2013. Everyone is expecting to get one, no matter what is on the price tag. It is new, innovative and creative. Google Glass could be the next wearable electronic consumer products instead of smartphone. Google has prepared a special website for Google Glass. Google has released the new Asus Nexus 7 advertisement. The video is now flying in Youtube. The new Google Nexus 7 targeted housewives who likes cooking as well as those travelers who likes traveling. In the commercial ads, Google shows off their latest and largest online collection of ebooks for cooking. On the other hands, Google emphasized the convenience of travelers to use Nexus 7 with up to 10 hours battery life without charging. Nexus 7 has become one of the most popular tablet in 7inch tablet market. According to rumors, the new second generation of Nexus 7 will be announced during Google IO 2013 in May. HP has given up WebOS but it turn out to be open source mobile platform OS. Thanks to all the great WebOS developers who has successfully ported the Open WebOS to Nexus 7. It is very early phase of the WebOS to run on Google Nexus devices. As shown in video, the basic browser and WiFI are working properly. We are glad to see more open project running on the latest smart devices. The port is also supports the classic webOS tablet keyboard and forward-swipe-drive screen rotation. 2012, one of the most waited smart device from android is LG Nexus 4. As we all know, LG and Google are both suffering on the high demand of Nexus 4 from worldwide. LG Nexus 4 become one of the most wanted android devices, partly reason was due to the low unlocked price with high end hardware specifications. LG Nexus 4 has a 4.7” IPS 1280×720 resolution screen and features fast 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor and typical 2GB RAM. It doesn’t support external SD card but with only 8GB or 16GB internal memory. No LTE connectivity as well as replacement battery is not available. We do not have any idea when and price of LG Nexus 4 in Malaysia. But LG Malaysia has confirmed that Nexus 4 will be coming to Malaysia around Christmas time. Oh yea, the king is now back. iOS Google maps is now finally in the Apple iTunes App Store. As we all know, Apple remove Google Maps from App Store after launching their own Apple Maps in iOS 6. Due to the imperfection of Apple Maps, Google Maps is still the most popular maps application on iOS. It tops the free app iOS chart as the most downloaded applications right after 6 hours of releasing. iOS Google maps supports navigation as well as street views. Offline maps is going to push out soon and later. Google admitted that iOS Google maps is even more user friendly, better experience and outstanding.
