In the early morning of today, I have just flashed and tried the very first AOKP ROM. It isn’t fast because it was not customized and fully tweaked, it was a stock ROM and kernel for the phone. However, with AOKP ROM, you can have many other features being enabled in your devices. Tablet UI is one of the coolest feature/  I have tested tablet UI mode in my nexus S with AOKP Milestone 5. I would say the UI is extremely attractive and beautiful. This is unique to run tablet UI in a phone. You can also easily switch the tablet UI mode back to phone UI mode by having a simple tweaking. This flashable zip file works for all devices with AOKP devices.

More and more stable ICS Stock release to Nexus S as well as for Samsung SG2, those popular Android phone. Today i downloaded a very stable ICS stock kernel ROM for my nexus s, NexusBeam v4.1.0. The ROM is using the latest stock Android 4.03 IML74k firmware and it is fast and smooth. No battery drain problem, it can be your daily use ICS ROM. This is Not a complete bug-free ROM, face unlock is a slightly slow in response but personally i do not like tihs feature, so it is OK to me. Let’s download and check it out.

If you get the android-customized smartphone from Samsung, HTC or Sony Ericson, you may have to install the USB driver from their particular websites. With the USB driver, your PC will be able to recognize your smartphone and do android developing work. However, how about Google Phone?  If you just recently get an Galaxy Nexus, you may interested to know how to install the UBD driver. In basic normal Windows 7 USB library, there is no USB driver for android phone. You need to perform additional driver installation to make it works. Once installation done, you can start developing your app with android SDK tool and test it through your Google Phone. Check it out after break.
