Do you like a tablet or a phone? It could be phablet!! Samsung is now officially announce the latest beast of Galaxy Note series, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, in Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2013. Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 apparently features 8.0 inch of TFT LCD Display with 1280×800 resolution. Galaxy Note 8.0 phablet is driven by 1.6 GHz quad-core Exynos processor, 2 GB RAM, 16/32 GB storage and microSD slot, 5 megapixel and 1.3 megapixel rear and front cameras, and the 4,600 mAh battery. As usual, it comes with the S Pen Stylus together with buttery android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS. According to announcement by Samsung, they planned to release Galaxy Note 8.0 by second quarter of 2013. Release of Galaxy Note 8.0 has made a real competition and rival against iPad mini in 8.0 inch range tablet. Check out the full specification after the break.

Finally, ICS ROM has officially rolling out to Samsung Galaxy Note which claimed that has been sold for more than 2 million units worldwide. The firmware XXLPY is rolling out in Europe countries for Samsung Galaxy Note Europe version. However, if you you own the International Galaxy Note then you still have to wait to get the official firmware release. Finally, Galaxy Note has tasted ICS CM9 after a long wait. As we all know, CM9 is known of its light, fast and smooth custom ROM. At last, CM9 has arrived to Galaxy Note while waiting the official ICS firmware from Samsung OTA. Thanks to the CM team on this beta release, this build ROM is only available for international version of Galaxy Note.

Tablet mode of ICS ROM is fresh and unique on phone especially those with big screen like Samsung Galaxy Mode. I think it is real cool to run tablet mode of ICS on phone. Samsung Galaxy Note has a very high potential to have it as of its 5.3” large screen which can be a mini tablet. Thanks to Imilka to bring you the AOSP ICS ROM with tablet mode to Galaxy Note with full Android tablet UI features. Well, ICS is coming to Samsung Galaxy Note very soon. If you own a Galaxy Note, probably you are waiting for an official ICS ROM for your superphone but the official ROm is yet to come. However, it is interesting to see what ICS will look like in Galaxy Note. This leaked ROM was brought by Rootzwiki and it looks decent and beautiful. Since this is still a leaked version, many bugs are still exist in the leaked ROM. Definitely you won’t see Premium Suite in this leaked ROM.  Touchwiz launcher will crashed on first boot, system will crash when you add a Google Play account. Anyhow, these all are one-time crash and you will still enjoy the ROM afterwards. What are you waiting for? Let’s check it out.

ICS is NOT officially for Samsung Galaxy Note but Thanks to all the developers all over the world for porting the great ICS ROM into this beatiful smartphone. Here you go the Android Open Source Project [AOSP] ICS 4.0.3 ROM from Imilka, a developer from europe. The ROM is running great & fast in Galaxy Note. As we all know, Samsung Galaxy Note is still running Gingerbread OS when you first buy it. It doesn’t come with latest android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in default. Good news is that this giant smartphone will be having an ICS upgrade very soon in Q2 2012 which mean before May 2012, hopefully. Samsung has announced the ICS upgrade news together with a special “Premium Suite” video. The Premium Suite basically is to enhance the Samsung Galaxy Note special features with the S Pen. Galaxy Note with the S Pen can bring more fun and features to the users. Check put the official video from Samsung to know more. Stay tune, ICS Premium Suite will be available for download very soon.

Samsung Galay Note is fighting intensively with Apple NOT only on the pattern war but also in their TV advertisement.
